The nonprofit group developing an advanced manufacturing facility in North St. Louis has chosen Paric Corp. as its general contractor for the first phase, which is expected to be completed in spring 2027, officials announced Wednesday.
The board of directors of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Center-St. Louis (AMICSTL) chose Paric, with headquarters at Westport Plaza, as the “lowest qualified bidder,” said Tracy Henke, the AMICSTL's deputy executive director and chief operating officer.
"We believe that they are an exceptional local general contractor and we're pleased to have them on the team," she said.
Work began about two months ago with brownfield remediation and preparation of the site, which is adjacent to Ranken Technical College’s Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center. Construction of the nearly 52,000-square foot building on a four-acre tract is estimated to cost about $35 million, Henke said. AMICSTL has a 99-year land lease agreement with Ranken on the site. The first phase is on the north side of the 4300 block of Finney Avenue and work includes a parking lot on the south side of Finney. Plans call for a second phase with a roughly 35,000-square foot building on the south side, connecting the two structures by a terrace bridge across Finney Avenue.
